Letter from the Secretary-General
Esteemed delegates and guests,
Welcome to the Korean Youth Online Model United Nations 2026! My name is Jihoon Choi, and I am honored to serve as Secretary-General of KYOMUN, hosted by KYLO and held virtually from August 10 to August 12.
The core mission of KYOMUN is simple. We aim to provide an accessible, yet high-quality MUN conference. After realizing the challenges that beginner delegates often face, we envisioned a conference where even new delegates could thrive. To achieve this mission, we are providing a MUN educational session and individual feedback for delegates in addition to our conference.
This commitment has become even more critical in the era of Artificial Intelligence. While AI is transforming many aspects of education, MUN has remained one of the few activities where AI-generated content is simply ineffective. The human attempts at persuasion, moving the masses through public speaking, and creatively thinking about global issues are things AI cannot generate. We recognize the value of MUN, and hope to continue opening the doors of MUN to everyone.
Our Secretariat has worked tirelessly to provide the best MUN experience. Whether you are attending your first MUN conference or looking to sharpen your skills, we hope you will join us. We are delighted to welcome you to KYOMUN 2026!
Thank you.

Secretary-General of KYOMUN
