Q: Do I have to pay a registration fee?

No. KYOMUN is dedicated to providing an accessible MUN experience.

Q: Can delegates choose their own country?

No. Although participants can choose their committee, country allocation will be random. Note that an email regarding country allocation and other preparation materials will be sent on 7/31.

Q: Is AI usage allowed during the conference?

No. The use of AI to create speeches, write resolutions, or assist with any other aspect of the conference is prohibited. Furthermore, note that the most successful delegates are the most human.

Q: Is the orientation session mandatory to join?

Yes. The orientation session on 8/1 covers Rules of Procedure, introduces the committees, and allows delegates to form networks. After the orientation, a non-mandatory education session will be held, where chairs will be giving tips for new delegates.

Q: Are there awards?

Yes. From each committee, three delegates will be awarded the Best Delegate, the Outstanding Delegate, and the Honorable Mention prize. They represent exceptional commitment and contribution to the overall debate.

Q: Why is the conference held online?

Although offline MUNs offer an unparalleled physical experience, it often leads to increased financial cost and geographical barriers. Hosting an online MUN fits the mission of KYOMUN to provide an accessible MUN experience.
